Play Scheme 2022

Another brilliant Summer play scheme was held over the first two weeks of the school holidays.  It was fully booked for every one of the 10 days and children enjoyed a wide range of activities arts & crafts, football, table tennis, snooker as well as an emergency services morning where we saw members of Maidstone Police Task Force, PCSO Nicola Morris and several Police Cadets - the children were able to try out the uniform, sit in the police car and practice their marching skills with the cadets.  At the end of the morning the children, along with the Police, played football.

Cold To The Cure came along one afternoon with many reptiles and spiders etc - Many of the children got over their initial fear and held several of the animals.

During the second week a Royal afternoon tea was held with the staff members acting as waiters and waitresses serving sandwiches and cakes to the children - the Queen was even in residence at the end of the table.

The normal 70ft inflatable assault course was brought in for the last Thursday of the scheme and the Police attended play scheme again just to have a go with the children.

The Parish Council would like to say thank you to Jordan, who along with managing the scheme for the two weeks had spent many hours prepping and arranging the activities; Deanna as Deputy Manager; Play Leaders Ziggy, Hannah, George, Anna, Daisy and Flora; Junior Play Leaders Elianna and Josh and volunteer Mia.  Thanks are also expressed to Trevor, the school caretaker and Vicky, school secretary - who helped before and during the scheme with locking/unlocking the venue etc.
